The aim of this study is to evalute the social hand washing behaviors on university students studying in health The general screening model was used in the research. The sample group of the study consists of 379 associate degree students, 277 girls and 102 boys, who continue their education at Sivas Cumhuriyet University Health Services Vocational School in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year. The data for the study were made using the personal information form, the "Social Hand Washing Attitude Scale" and the "Social Hand Washing Information Scale" developed by Üner, Sevencan, Başaran, Balcı ve Bilaloğlu, (2009). The data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S), Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation, Independent t test, ANOVA, TUKEY analysis techniques. Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the relationship between the scales. It was determined that the social hand washing behaviors on university students studying in health, differed significantly according to gender, type of instruction and branch/program variables (p<.05) but it did not show a significant difference in terms of other variables (p>.05). It was determined that the social hand washing knowledge levels of the students did not differ significantly in all variables (p>.05).
